Paws (for short) connected Tails of Hope with essential food supplies in 2023, and extended their financial support in 2025 to help us build our recycling program into a consistent donation stream. They connect animal rescues to share expertise, ideas, and actions that lead to a more humane world.

In 2025, Tails (for short) received gifts of food and kitty litter which arrived just when we needed them most. Their generosity continued to other gifts for cat adopters, and the potential for the shelter to request pallets of kitty litter every 3 months.

"Here for Good" is the vibrant tagline for the Community Foundation of NE Iowa, of which Kossuth County Community Foundation (KCCF) is an affiliate. In 2025, KCCF awarded Tails of Hope a grant to launch a pilot Trap-Neuter-Return program in Algona. We plan to expand TNR to become the standard approach to cat overpopulation, for the good of people and community cats.
